Testimonials

A very different food tour and thoroughly enjoyable. Veronica shared some interesting into Korean, culture, food, history and eating etiquette. Lunch was an incredible array of dishes in a small restaurant serving traditional Korean food. The tea stop was again interesting in a lovely tea house. Recommend this tour to gain an insight into real Korean food.

We did the Heart of Seoul Tour. It was an excellent tour - probably in our top 3 food tours of any country - and Veronica was an excellent guide. Knowledgeable about food, culture and history. The great thing about the tour was that it included varied experiences so you got to eat at the busy local market, at local restaurants, tourist areas, food halls and at modern Korean places. It was wonderful to see and taste the different foods of Seoul and was a definite highlight of our time in Seoul.

We really enjoyed the tasting and the opportunity to see how traditional Korean alcohol is made. We loved how cozy our little group felt. Our guide Veronica made sure not only that we had a great dinner, but she also showed us around the neighbourhood and made great suggestions for things to do. We highly recommend this tour to any traveler who likes having a good time while also learning new things!

It was very fascinating to learn about how each traditional alcohol is made and we enjoyed our trip to the brew master’s workshop. The dinner was very interesting, and although it wasn’t really our taste, it was still interesting to try the traditional seafood dishes.

Nice tour of the area. Great main meal - multiple courses and final tea stop was very filling. Lots of walking which was fine by us. Would have loved if the guide would have stopped for explanations to entire group vs the few that were by his side. We asked for him to do this but it didn’t happen. Great explanation of the foods at the stops! A few nice stops at food museum, traditional homes, etc. recommend the tour.

Veronica is a food culture expert, and very willing to share her valuable insights. We had a delicious lunch and tea, visited a typical traditional house and loved all her stories. She pointed us in the direction for purchasing quality food products and I cannot wait for her fermentation recipes that she promised to send. A must do for food enthusiasts. 5+ stars!

Each place we travel to we always do a food tour. This is without doubt the best we have done. Veronica was an amazing guide , very helpful and informative. We went first to a very traditional Michelin starred restaurant. There was a multitude of truly amazing dishes , many I had never heard of . We then explored a Hanoch village and despite truly torrential rain had an excellent time . We finished in a wonderful tea therapy house . Such a perfect way to see the area . A truly memorable tour . Thanks to Veronica!

We were anxious to learn about Korean food and ingredients during our trip to Seoul. Veronica delivered far more than our expectations on our market tour. At different stalls/restaurants, Veronica explained not only the ingredients and processes, but also Korean culture and history. Our tastings ran the gamut from Noodle Alley and street stalls to a restaurant specializing in Korean fried chicken and beer. If you are visiting Seoul, book a tour with Veronica!

My father and I had a great time! Veronica was a very knowledgeable guide who made us feel welcome. I learned a lot about Korean cultural food practices outside of just makgeolli and rice wine, too. Her company offers a lot of other tours that I wish I had known about before I booked such a short trip to Seoul. I’d absolutely recommend this trip to anyone interested in Korean food and drinks and all the culture and history that’s made it the way it is.

We thoroughly enjoyed the discussion with the Brew Master and our dinner with Veronica. I am sure you will find a very different approach to Korean food compared to the usual spicy/in your face commercial food flavour profile. While I am a drinker, my friend is not but both of us had fun. Thank you for an informative night.

Veronica guided my wife and me through Seoul’s food scene, starting at Seoullo 7017 and leading us to places we’d never have discovered on our own. From a bustling alleyway restaurant with a multi-course meal to savory and sweet street treats, Korean fried chicken, black bean noodles, and even the sugar snack from Squid Game, every stop was memorable. We ended with unique gelato beneath Myeongdong Cathedral, making the whole experience both delicious and culturally rich!

I loved this tour! It was a mix of history, culture and delicious nourishing food. Veronica was absolutely delightful, easy to understand and so experienced. The lunch was amazing and so unique, not something I would have found on my own or felt comfortable going on my own as it is a hidden gem. The food was healthy and I loved it all, especially the local mountain herbs! The pace was relaxed but we got to see a lot. The little stop at the tea shop was so cute and the tea delicious. Veronica, you made the tour amazing and I loved hearing about your past work too! Lots of experience in the hospitality industry!

My husband and I had an amazing time on the tour!! I love doing food tours in new places and this exceeded expectations. Veronica was a fantastic tour guide, she’s super knowledgeable, and great to be around. For lunch we got to try lots of different Korean dishes, and learn about them as well. As a vegetarian I was worried about how many options there would be for me, but a lot of the dishes are vegetarian friendly! We then walked around bukchon hanok village and learned some history. We finished with a tea house which had great traditional Korean teas. We loved spending the day with Veronica and highly recommend it!

Delane · From USA · Traditional Gourmet

Though we have visited Korea many times, this was the first time for us on such a tour. It was very informative and we learnt a lot from Veronica. After the tour, we have developed a deeper appreciation for soju. The one with 71% alcohol content was amazing. I strongly recommend this tour to all. Thanks Veronica!

AlvinWo · From USA · Korean Brewery

On my solo trip, I reached out to Veronica to combine the Traditional Gourmet and Brew Master tours into one customized day, and it turned out to be an incredible experience. From delicious traditional dishes to unique alcohol tastings, her expertise made everything both fun and insightful. Dinner, with takju and yakju, was a real revelation. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for an unforgettable food adventure in Korea—well worth it and something I’d happily do again!

We were pleasantly surprised that our sit down lunch was in a Michelin restaurant. Good food and great location. After lunch we walked to get a street food dessert which was freshly made and delicious! Veronica, our guide, was very knowledgeable and friendly. She showed us the bukchon neighborhood which was interesting. Catch this food tour when I’m Seoul

Our tour with Veronica was a true highlight of our trip. From a refined lunch at Michelin-rated Yongsusan to exploring Bukchon Hanok Village, tasting sweet pancakes, and discovering personalized teas at Tea Therapy café, every moment was enriching. We ended at a Buddhist eatery learning about monastic meals and fermentation. Veronica’s warmth and deep knowledge made the whole experience unforgettable—I highly recommend it.

LadyAv · From Spain · Traditional Gourmet

If you are interested in taking a deeper dive and learn about Korean culture and food, this is the tour to take. We learn that soju made by the real master in small batches, unlike the ones mass produced and sold in plastic bottles, can have such variety with real complex taste. And the best part of this tour is meeting Veronica. You can feel she is genuinely passionate about her own culture and the city itself.

812Cindy · From USA · Korean Brewery

This was such an amazing experience for anyone looking to taste some of the best local Korean food. Veronica does such a great job of explaining the traditional cuisines and also some of the rich culture and history of Korea. I was able to eat at many places I would not normally have. I highly recommend this activity at the beginning of your visit since it also gives you a chance to get acclimated to the city. Kudos to Veronica for offering such a unique experience!!

Kenyaae · From USA · Traditional Gourmet

Veronica pointed out several restaurants of interest as we wandered around. It was an honor to meet the Master Brewer, he was so humble and gracious in teaching us about the process of making and distilling soju. I definitely gained an appreciation for traditional Korean liquors as well as the home brewing culture in Korea. You get to sample quite a lot of some pretty serious liquors, so be prepared!

NZ-AJ · From USA · Korean Brewery

When I did this tour I had already lived in Korea for a while, so I was quite accustomed to Korean food already. However, the food I tasted here was something else! Something special! We started off with budaejjigae, and it was hands down the most delicious budaejjigae I ever tasted. Furthermore, the tour was very nice, Veronica is very knowledgeable, the food was amazing, and the fresh coffee was legit too. I highly recommend this tour!

Mark B · From USA · Seoul By Night

Highly recommend the Brew tour. Veronica was a wonderful guide!
We learned a lot about traditional Korean liquors and got to try some really great liquors. Then we went to a traditional Korean restaurant to sample homemade makgeolli and a full Korean dinner. Really great food and a great night out!

Charm · From USA · Korean Brewery

Veronica went out of her way to help us plan a tailored tour for a group of nine international business travellers. She arrived with a microphone and earpieces for us all, so we could hear her comments all the time, without constantly clustering together. She accommodated us magnificently when catering for a vegetarian, and we had a fantastic, entirely meat-free meal, which satisfied everyone! The remainder of the tour was always interesting, and even though it was 33 degrees and humid, we enjoyed every minute of it! Our thanks to Veronica for going above and beyond to make the tour so fantastic!

_nells18 · From USA · Heart Of Seoul

Full disclosure, I was on the Heart of Seoul Tour but I feel confident that any of Veronica’s tours would be worthwhile. When traveling as a foreigner it’s easy to feel like a commodity and removed from the culture. Having Veronica as a guide makes you feel immersed. While I love food and I love the experience of different cultures I can honestly say that my favorite part of this tour was being led by a guide who seriously loves her city. I highly recommend it.

Alexandr · From USA · Heart Of Seoul

I feel this is one of the few tours where you can truly experience Korean culture the way it is meant to be. From the moment we started, I knew I was in good hands.Veronica took great care in helping understand the history and the meaning behind each dish prepared. Each stop was interesting and memorable. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to make the most of their time in Korea.

Christi C · From USA · Heart Of Seoul

I recently joined a Brew Master Tour with Veronica and it was such a memorable experience. We first visited a master of traditional Korean liquor, where we learned about the brewing and distillation process and sampled his artisan “rice wines.” Veronica was a fantastic guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and insightful—and exploring Bukchon Hanok Village and Samcheong-dong with her made the day even more special. I’d highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting or living in Seoul.
